When did the ellipsis become so hostile? I use it all the time when I am thinking, and to be honest, I think a lot. I never meant for it to be aggressive, I just liked the little dots on the end of my sentences that gave me enough pause so I could work out what I was going to say next that wouldn’t offend anybody. But I guess in not wanting to give offence, it turns out that I gave offence. Sigh…
